The WDA IT Support Centre service is back in action in Conwy with Alan Greenwoood delivering the service, with our support.

The WDA Technology Trailer returns to Denbighshire at the Oriel House in Saint Asaph. Sessions will include building a Web page for your business. The Wales ICT Roadshow will also be there on Thursday 4th November. Businesses that pre-register for one of the seminar sessions will receive a FREE USB memory stick. This can be done online at www.wda.co.uk

The CyberSkills Unit helped Opportunity Wales and BT to co-host a very successful breakfast briefing on broadband attended by over 50 people.
A "Wonders of the Web" Internet day was held on 28th September in partnership with Chwarae Teg. The day included a short session on building simple Web site.

The WDA Technology Trailer came to Ruthin! From 6-9 July, there were short courses being run on aspects of IT and business. The sessions lasted between 1-2 hours. Sessions included:
  • Building a Web page for your business
  • What makes a good Web site?
  • IT, your business and the law
  • Creating a business plan for a Care Sector business
  • IT for farm businesses
  • Using spreadsheets - hints, tips and troubleshooting
  • The networked office
  • Protecting your system and information
  • Your business on the move
  • Moving towards integrated ICT solutions for your business
28 June
eMarketing course were run in Denbighshire Cyberskills. This course covered all aspects of electronic marketing, including eMail newsletters, Web site promotion, applying traditional marketing techniques to new channels, and more.

Denbighshire Cyberskills now has four Technlogy Means Business qualified advisers. This is a recognised standard, equivalent to an NVQ level 4-5, which examines the way in which ICT advice is given to businesses by the advisers. All the staff have worked hard to achieve this qualification and Denbighshire Cyberskills are very proud of their efforts.
